Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Durham Tees Valley Mental Health Treatment Requirement service for a three-month fixed period. The post covers County Durham and Teesside, with travel across six courts to deliver assessments and support.

Applicants must have a Psychology degree, be eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society and be prepared to engage in a research agenda.

Qualifications

• Degree in psychology and eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
• Postgraduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.
• Experience of Financial Education and Social Barriers (FESB) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Forensic Psychologist, provide eligibility assessments and report pathways.
• Collaborate with Probation and courts to meet service aims and objectives.
• Contribute to a research agenda within the service.

Degree in Psychology
