Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Assistant Acoustic Consultant for a remote role, ideally based in the South East England area. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum and the opportunity to shape the growth of the noise and acoustics division in collaboration with Tier 1 contractors.

You will lead BREEAM assessments and sound insulation testing, provide expert guidance on noise modelling and noise at work assessments, and ensure compliance with Building Regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in acoustics consultancy, including BREEAM credits and sound insulation testing.
• Strong understanding of noise pollution, noise impact assessments, and noise modelling.
• Familiarity with Building Regulations Part E and other relevant standards.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage acoustic projects, including BREEAM assessments and sound insulation testing.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 contractors to deliver high-quality acoustic solutions.
• Develop and expand the noise and acoustics division, bringing work in-house.
• Provide expert advice on noise impact assessments, modelling, and noise at work assessments.
• Ensure compliance with regulations including Building Regulations Part E.
