Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a SWE Fellow for the Human Frontier Collective Fellowship in the United Kingdom. This is a fully remote, independent contractor role with an estimated six-month duration.

Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the UK and enjoy flexible 10–40 hour weeks. You’ll work with top researchers to design, evaluate, and interpret advanced generative AI systems and participate in an interdisciplinary network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on high-impact AI research projects with partner labs and platforms; design complex, domain-specific problems and datasets to evaluate AI models.
• Provide expert insights to improve model accuracy, reasoning and overall performance.
