Job summary

James Adams is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for a 6-month contract (Outside IR35) to integrate LLMs and AI into production-grade software. This fully remote role requires UK SC clearance and a strong focus on reliability and scalability.

You'll work in a cross-functional team translating product requirements into robust AI solutions, applying RAG, evals, and orchestration patterns while maintaining high-availability systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professionally developing products involving AI, LLMs, or applied machine learning/data science.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML architectures and patterns: RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evals, LLM orchestration, or equivalent applied ML/data science methods
• Python and/or TypeScript

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI software.
• Apply emerging AI architecture patterns - RAG, agentic workflows, evals, fine-tuning, LLM orchestration directly into the product.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ship technical solutions at pace.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of AI-powered features in a demanding, high-availability production environment.
• Contribute to raising AI engineering practices and standards across the team.
