Job summary

Lorien Resourcing seeks a hands-on AI & Data Engineer to design, build, and productionise AI agents, RAG capabilities, and data products for a pension and investments client. This is a remote-first role across the UK with occasional site travel, via umbrella.

You will translate business use cases into scalable AI and data solutions within an enterprise environment, collaborating with AI architects, data teams and engineering colleagues throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AI engineering experience including building AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Strong development skills in Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Build RAG solutions integrating LLMs with enterprise data sources.
• Apply prompt engineering to improve AI solution accuracy and reliability.
• Translate business use cases into robust technical solutions.
• Develop scalable data pipelines for Balance Sheet Modelling and AI use cases.
• Create reusable AI, data, and integration components.
• Design APIs to connect AI with internal apps and data sources.
• Develop workflow automation using Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
• Work with Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric for data processing.
