Outlier is seeking skilled contributors to help shape autonomous AI agents. This is a freelance, remote opportunity with competitive pay and weekly payments. Rates up to $50 USD per hour vary by expertise and project needs.

You can choose your own schedule, with typical time commitment ranging from 5–40 hours per week. We collaborate with leading AI organizations to train agents for multi-step workflows, emphasizing robust design, coordination, and real-world problem solving.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend engineering, AI automation, or complex systems integration.
• Proven ability to build and maintain production-grade software with modular separation (e.g., distinct services for data parsing, logic processing, and reporting).
• Practical experience building for live, non-mocked environments and handling multi-turn system interactions.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, high-density technical feedback on complex system behaviors.
• Nice to have: multi-stage coordination tasks and integrating agents with live tools such as Supabase, Gmail, and various APIs.
• Experience with persistent state and session tracking using MEMORY.md to monitor progress.
• Awareness of privacy leaks, authority escalation, or indirect prompt injections.
