Job summary

Oxbridge Summer Scholars (OSS) seeks a Law, Politics & International Relations Academic Consultant to join our team. This subject-matter specialist provides expert input into the OSS Science, Innovation & Technology Stream, focusing on law, politics, international relations and philosophy.

Location: Fully remote. Hours scale with programmes: up to 10 hours per week outside dates, and up to 30 hours during programme dates plus the following week.

Qualifications

• Degree at Master’s level or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Deep knowledge in Law, Politics or International Relations on at least one area within the stream.
• Excellent written communication with ability to provide detailed, individual feedback.

Responsibilities

• Subject-Matter Consultation & Content Development
• Advise on topics, concepts, theories, cases and current developments across law, politics and IR.
• Recommend subject-specific approaches and academic skills for pre-university study.
• Review content for academic accuracy and depth; identify gaps and clarify.
• Develop essay questions and prompts; contribute to assessment criteria and feedback guidelines.
• Assess essays; provide detailed, constructive feedback within five working days after programme finish.
