Remarketing Stock Manager

Monday to Friday – Full Time - Hybrid

About The Role

We lease over 180,000 vehicles across the UK at any given time. Every day, we take back more than 200 of these at the end of their contracts which we need to repurpose as quickly as possible. As the Remarketing Stock Manager, you will be responsible for placing the right stock in the right channel to maximise our commercial performance. You will have multiple options, including selling directly to consumers via Autotrader or similar platforms, utilising our extensive MotorTrade network, or Re-Leasing a vehicle to give it a second chance to generate income for us before we sell it.

You will be responsible for processing every unit and will work very closely with the various sales channels. Performance managing and building, crucial relationships with suppliers who we work with to process our vehicles will also be key to your success. This will require regular site visits roughly once a fortnight and may include an overnight stay at some locations.

We produce a ton of data that will be at your disposal which you will be fully encouraged and expected to use to your advantage. You will analyse, understand what it is telling us and then react accordingly. In addition, provide regular reports and be on hand for vital project work, geared to improving our offering.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • A leadership role you will be able to influence and develop your team.
  • Bring your energy and enthusiasm to help shape the strategy and working practices of the department.
  • Keep up to date with the industry knowledge so you are commercial aware.
  • Hold difficult conversations and address poor performance with internal and external stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

Someone who can quickly build long lasting relationships, but who is also comfortable with their head down analysing and understanding data. A data driven background with proven experience following operational processes and management awareness. Have an interest and is commercially aware of the automotive industry.

You will need to be methodical, accurate and able to prioritise a heavy workload with ease whilst working in a team environment, keeping the customers forefront.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

  • Industry knowledge within BCA and other channels of resale.
  • Superb relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office knowing how to use Vlookups/ Pivot Tables.
  • Happy to identify and analyse trends within data and insight.
  • Ability to travel to supplier and partner sites around the UK.

The package

We offer a basic salary of between £39,500 - £44,000, plus a bonus of up to £4,600. We also offer 25 days holiday as standard, plus bank holidays, an extra day off for your birthday, and the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
