Job summary

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust in Ipswich invites applications for a substantive consultant in Older People’s Medicine at Ipswich Hospital. Full-time, part-time and flexible working opportunities will be considered as we roll out Epic in 2025.

The post will involve leading a complex ward for 14 inpatients, with a team of juniors and a focus on Frailty Assessment Base sessions. An enhanced welcome package and relocation support are offered to join ESNEFT.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily consultant-led ward rounds and relatives meetings.
• Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary ward team.
• Deliver Frailty Assessment Base (FAB) sessions and comprehensive geriatric assessments.
