Religious Studies Teacher - Well-Respected Church of England School - Hillingdon, Uxbridge

A well-respected Church of England School in Hillingdon seeks a dedicated and thoughtful Religious Studies Teacher to join our Theology department. We aim to foster students' spiritual development, religious literacy, and understanding of Christian teachings and other faiths within a supportive Christian ethos.

About the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and reflective Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering Christian doctrine, scripture, ethics, and world religions.
  • Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and personal reflection.
  • Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and theological reflections, providing constructive feedback to support their spiritual and academic growth.
  • Contribute to the spiritual life of the school through participation in acts of worship and other religious activities.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Studies or Theology.
  • A strong understanding of Christian theology and the secondary RS curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students in meaningful discussions about faith and ethics.
  • A commitment to the school's Christian ethos and values.

Competitive salary (MPS/UPS + Outer London Weighting) commensurate with experience.
