Job description

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Burnley to recruit a passionate Humanities Teacher with a specialism in Religious Studies. This is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting in September 2025.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, helping students explore diverse beliefs and develop critical thinking skills. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos and its commitment to nurturing curiosity and respect across all subjects in the Humanities faculty.

  • A confident and inspiring classroom practitioner

  • Specialist subject knowledge in Religious Studies

  • Experience planning and delivering engaging lessons to mixed-ability groups

  • QTS required (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply)
