Yardley, Birmingham

£31,650 - £43,606 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach RE i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is recruiting for a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Studies Supply Teacher to take on a long-term teaching role at a welcoming secondary school in Yardley, Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to inspire students in a subject that fosters empathy, reflection and critical thinking. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
• Encourage student discussion and respectful debate around a variety of beliefs and worldviews.
• Plan, prepare and assess pupils’ work to support academic progress.
• Contribute to the wider school ethos and department planning.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  
  

Requirements

The successful RE Teacher will have;

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Previous experience teaching Religious Studies at the secondary level.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for Religious Education and inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
• All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
