Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reflective Religious Studies Teacher to join a passionate and supportive humanities faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage students in thoughtful discussions and deepen their understanding of world religions, ethics, and philosophy. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Religious Studies Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Promote respect, tolerance, and open-mindedness through inclusive teaching

  • Encourage critical thinking and discussion on moral and ethical issues

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities such as interfaith events or debate clubs

Ideal Religious Education Teacher:

  • A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills as a Religious Education Teacher

  • A commitment to promoting inclusive, values-based education
