Position: Religious Education Teaching Assisstant
Location: Barnet, London
Start Date: September 2024
Hours: Full Time ( 8:30-3:30)

Role Overview: As a Religious Education Teaching Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Religious Education Department and enhancing the learning experience of our students. Your responsibilities will include assisting in lesson delivery, preparing educational materials, providing personalised student support, and contributing to the overall academic environment. This position is ideal for someone passionate about religious studies and education, looking to make a tangible impact on students' academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Religious Education Department in delivering engaging and insightful lessons.
  • Support students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
  • Assist with grading assignments and exams.
  • Participate in department meetings and school events.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for religious education and fostering understanding across diverse beliefs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a degree in religious studies/education is a plus.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
