Religious Education Teacher - Coventry - ASAP
Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a full-time qualified, conscientious, and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join a forward-thinking ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated Secondary School in Coventry. The role is to start ASAP on a permanent contract.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering a broad, balanced, and relevant Religious Education curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students in line with the National Curriculum.
- Monitoring and supporting the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Form Tutor.
- Contributing to raising standards of student attainment and achievement in Religious Education and monitoring student progress.
- Tracking student progress using school systems and using information to inform teaching and learning.
- Managing behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy.
- Taking responsibility for professional development to improve teaching quality.
- Communicating effectively with parents and other professionals regarding pupils’ achievements and well-being.
Must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one. (Assistance available.)
- Experience teaching within an educational setting or similar.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent subject knowledge in Religious Education.
- Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
