A successful Mixed School in Camden is seeking a thoughtful and engaging Religious Education Teacher for a permanent, full-time position starting in September. The successful Religious Education Teacher will inspire students in Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore different faiths, beliefs, and ethical perspectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Religious Studies examinations.
  • Develop students' knowledge and understanding of different religions and ethical systems.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and resources.
  • Encourage respectful discussion and critical thinking about religious and ethical issues.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialization in Religious Education or Theology.
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
  • Strong knowledge of different world religions and ethical frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in RE.
