We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Religious Studies and Citizenship to join our vibrant Humanities department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about fostering academic progress and the personal development of students.

You will teach across a broad range of abilities and age groups, as well as undertake the important role of form tutor. You will uphold and promote the values and ethos of the school and its trust, expecting the highest standards from all members of the community. As a role model for both staff and students, you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within the department.

  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students, leading to good or better academic progress

  • Promote students' moral, spiritual, physical, and social development

  • Implement robust tracking and monitoring systems to assess and support student progress effectively

  • Embed assessment for learning strategies to ensure students understand their progress and next steps

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive, respectful learning environment

  • Support students in understanding their curriculum targets and how to improve

  • Contribute to a safe and supportive school atmosphere where students feel valued and can report concerns

  • Collaborate with colleagues within the school and across partner schools to enhance learning opportunities

  • Support the school's commitment to British values, including diversity, dignity, and equality

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Studies and/or Citizenship

  • Strong commitment to student welfare and academic achievement

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students across a range of abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • Enthusiasm for contributing positively to school life beyond the classroom
