Job summary

Breedon Group is looking for a Relief Team Leader based in Buxton to control the Load Haul fleet and ensure that production targets are met safely. You will be responsible for improving operational performance while adhering to the company's safety standards.

The role involves maintaining operational outputs, managing teams, and capturing daily performance data. Qualifications include NVQ Level 2 and IOSH Managing Safely, along with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar process/plant environment preferable.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Control the operation of the Load Haul fleet according to production targets.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety standards and local safety systems.
• Maintain operational outputs as per the Production plan.
• Monitor processes to achieve quality standards.
• Capture daily performance figures and input data accurately.

Relief Team Leader

Department: Operations and Maintenance

Location: Dowlow Quarry & Asphalt Plant, Buxton

Description

Control the operation of the Load Haul fleet in accordance with planned production targets to ensure that customer requirements are met in a safe and efficient manner.

To drive and continuously improve operational performance whilst complying with company SHE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner ensuring the Health & Safety standards adhered to.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in accordance with local safety systems and any unsafe behaviours are challenged. Inspect quarry faces and haul roads during each shift in accordance with Daily Inspection guidelines and make corrective actions for any defects found.
• Maintain operational outputs in accordance with Production plan & key performance indicators.
• Continually monitor and amend process to achieve relevant quality standards.
• Respond to internal / external demands for products or other requests that may require an alteration to the process. Maintain a good standard of general housekeeping in the mess room facilities and with the quarrying areas.
• Accurately capture and record Primary downtime outages.
• Support AQM during any RCA investigations.
• Report Safety defects or Near Hits to AQM.
• Attend daily meetings.
• Ensure teams timesheets are recorded accurately and signed off by individuals at the end of their working week. Maintain correct levels of manning required and manage hours within their teams.
• Capture daily performance figures and input data on to relevant spreadsheets.
