Mencap in Gateshead is seeking a female Relief Support Worker to join our friendly team at a supported living service. You will support a gentleman in his 60s to live an independent, active life in the local community, providing person-centred care and companionship. The role is relief-based with varied shifts; 24-hour support with four-week rotas.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• A positive and empathetic approach to supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Someone who can use their initiative and provide high-quality, person-centred support.

Responsabilités

• Support a gentleman in his 60s to live an independent, active life in the local community.
