Job summary

Creative Support is seeking a warm, caring Relief Support Worker for our Heysham service in Morecambe. You will deliver person-centred support to people with autism spectrum conditions and learning disabilities, alongside colleagues who are passionate about quality care.

The role requires at least 12 months’ previous experience; experience with autism and mental health recovery knowledge is preferred but not essential. Salary: £12.85ph plus rolled up holiday pay, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve months’ previous employed experience in a similar role.
• Experience in providing care and support to people with autism spectrum conditions, and knowledge of positive behavioural support and mental health recovery models preferable but not essential.
• Desirable to hold a relevant social care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Providing support, information and guidance to service users.
• Maximising service user outcomes by encouraging personal development and independent living skills.
• Empowering service users and promote their rights.
• Collaborating with service users, families and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service.
• A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
• You will be paid weekly.
