Job summary

Thera Group is seeking a Relief Support Worker to join Aspire Living and support adults with a learning disability. You will help individuals develop skills, provide personal and emotional support, and assist with daily living in home or community settings.

No prior experience is required; full training is provided. The role emphasises a compassionate, resilient and communicative approach within an inclusive team and positive, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or qualifications required.
• Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided.
• Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, with a high level of motivation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional.
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Help people develop new skills and provide personal and emotional support.
• Assist individuals to plan and manage their own home and daily routines.
• Support with leisure, employment, activities and travel.
• Provide care in the person’s own home or in community settings.
