Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Relief Support Worker to provide flexible, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities across services in Scotland. You will assist with daily living, promote independence, and help individuals participate in activities while maintaining accurate digital records.

Full training will be provided; SVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care or equivalent and PVG/SSSC registration are expected. You will work within the UK visa framework and uphold the organisation's ethos.

Job description

As a Relief Support Worker, you'll provide flexible support across our service, helping adults with learning disabilities live independently and enjoy fulfilling lives. No two days are the same, and your flexibility will help ensure individuals continue to receive the high quality, person centred support they deserve.

What you will do

• Build positive relationships with individuals, families and other professionals
• Act as a key worker where required
• Maintain accurate records using digital systems
• Promote dignity, choice and person centred support in everything you do

About you

You'll be reliable, compassionate and adaptable, with a genuine interest in supporting people to live independently. You'll be comfortable working flexibly across the service and enjoy building positive relationships with a wide range of individuals and colleagues.

Experience in social care is welcomed but not essential, as full training will be provided. You'll have basic IT skills and be willing to learn. You will hold, or be willing to achieve, an SVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Social Care (depending on the role), or an equivalent qualification that meets Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements. Experience or a qualification in supporting autistic people would be welcomed but isn't essential. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
