Job summary

CrossReach in Scotland is seeking a Relief Care Worker to support older people with daily routines and personal care across shifts. You will help residents live with dignity, independence and comfort while delivering high-quality support when needed most. You will be kind, dependable and adaptable, with a willingness to learn.

Prior care experience is welcome but not essential, and you'll work toward SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. PVG and SSSC registration are required.

Job description

As a Relief Care Worker, you'll support older people to live with dignity, independence and comfort. You'll work across shifts as needed, helping residents with daily routines, personal care and companionship while providing high-quality support when it's needed most.
Whether you're experienced in care or looking for a new direction, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

About you

You will be kind, dependable and able to adapt to different situations and shifts. You'll enjoy helping others and understand the importance of treating every resident with dignity, respect and compassion. Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential. We're equally interested in people with the right values, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
