Relief Support Worker

West Lothian Outreach

£12.60 per hour

The Role

Our Support Workers provide a person-centred approach in providing quality support, which makes our service very flexible and adaptable to everyone’s needs. The role of a Support Worker is integral to the quality of support provision and can be rewarding and inspiring. You will support people to identify and work towards meaningful outcomes, to participate in their community and develop new and maintain existing relationships.

You will be offering care and support to adults with learning disabilities to ensure the running of their home, health and wellbeing. This will include personal care, medication administration, housework, shopping, cooking and most importantly maintaining and developing each person’s independent skills. Social support will be given to each person daily and weekly to ensure involvement and independence within their community. Support plans and risk assessments are in place to ensure continued accurate support.

You will be required to liaise with medical professionals when required.

You may be asked to work between other services that we provide care and support to across West Lothian.

An enhanced Adult PVG is required for this role.

Shift Pattern:

Shifts are 8, 9,10,11am – 3pm, 3pm – 9:30pm

Waking-nights shift 9:30pm – 8:00am
