Job description

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis

£15.26 per hour (Including Distant Islands Allowance)

A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person to undertake social care duties at the West Mainland Day Centre.

The West Mainland Day Centre is in Dounby and provides day care to the frail, elderly and those with dementia. You will observe the principles of confidentiality in all aspects of practice and attend to the general care and well-being of service users; including assisting with their personal care in keeping with the standards of care required by the Care Commission.

Experience in social care is highly desirable and it would be advantageous.

You should hold an SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or achieve this qualification within 3 years of appointment.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
