Qualifications

Job Description:

Responsibilities include management and staff leadership to promote and ensure the highest standards of care, complying with statutory requirements to meet the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

  • Knowledge and experience of Care Planning
  • Understanding the needs of vulnerable adults and their families
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and monitoring standards
  • Knowledge of the Regulation Quality & Improvement Authority role
  • Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 2 Award in Health and Social Care, with a willingness to work towards Level 3
  • Willingness to pursue NVQ/QCF Assessors Award
  • At least 2 years’ experience caring for older people, individuals with disabilities, or mental health needs
  • Experience in medication management, including ordering, receiving, administering, and storage
  • Flexibility to work hours beyond normal shifts, including weekends
  • Maintaining registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council is required
  • Willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland
