The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Relief Security Officer to support our security team at our prestigious client, Granta Park, Great Abington. This role requires a flexible individual who can provide cover as needed, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.

Our client offers a dynamic and professional working environment within a leading biotechnology company.

Your duties include (but are not limited to):

• Providing security cover as required, ensuring a consistent and professional presence.
• Monitoring and operating security systems, including CCTV and access control.
• Controlling access and egress, verifying the authorization of individuals entering the premises.
• Conducting routine patrols to identify and report security risks or incidents.
• Responding swiftly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, following site procedures.
• Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining high security standards.
• Maintaining accurate logs and incident reports of security-related activities.
• Supporting emergency response protocols, including fire evacuation and first aid.

Full in-house training will be provided.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
• Proven experience in a corporate or high-security environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and observational skills.
• Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Flexible approach to shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with security technology, including CCTV and access control systems (advantageous).
• Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
