Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer to cover shifts across Leeds, York, Bradford and surrounding areas. You will support holiday and sickness cover and may be assigned a fixed shift pattern as opportunities arise.

You will work varied hours, including days, nights and weekends, and the company supports internal promotions and development, with a focus on training and professional growth within a compassionate, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License - essential.
• A UK Manual Driving License - essential.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site and carry out regular patrols.
• Brief and sign in visitors and contractors; process entry/exit paperwork.
• Set and unset alarm systems for out-of-hours security where applicable.
• Complete daily records, incident logs and site reports.
• Keep training records up to date, including first aid and fire marshal training.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Relief Security Officer able to work shifts in Leeds, York, Bradford and surrounding areas also, to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise. You will work - Various hr per week and be flexible to cover days, nights and weekends. As part our company philosophy, we believe in investing time and resources into our colleagues. What You Will Need

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential

• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What Are You Going To Do

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.Comply with site waste management procedures.Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
