Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly motivated SIA licensed Security Officer to support multiple client sites on holiday and sickness cover, with potential for fixed shifts. You will work across days, nights and weekends as needed and be part of a company that promotes internal development and progression.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, compliance with SIA regulations, and maintaining professional standards while contributing to a safe, secure environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License is essential.
• A valid SIA CCTV License is desirable.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Able to pass BS7858 vetting requirements and maintain up-to-date training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of the site with regular patrols and logging as required.
• Brief visitors and contractors; ensure sign-in/out procedures are followed.
• Process delivery paperwork in line with site procedures and records.
• Respond to incidents and maintain high professional standards.
• Operate alarm systems and assist with changeovers as needed.
• Adhere to waste management and safety procedures; complete daily logs.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern, when the opportunities arise.

You will work - Various hrs per week and be flexible to cover days, nights and weekends.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do:

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
