Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to work across multiple client premises, providing holiday and sickness cover with a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall site surveillance, carrying out regular patrols and recording activities as per Corps and customer requirements.
  • Brief all visitors and contractors, ensuring proper sign‑in and sign‑out procedures are followed.
  • Record the entry and exit of deliveries on site and process required paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
  • Carry out patrols to the correct standards and set/unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours security provision where applicable.
  • Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handover documents, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports.
  • Familiarise yourself with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain your own training records via the Corps Colleague Portal to keep skills up to date, especially first‑aid and fire marshal training in accordance with legislative guidelines.
  • Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism and display your SIA licence at all times.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.
  • Work days, nights and weekends in a fixed shift pattern when opportunities arise.
Qualifications
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel).
  • Achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
