Job summary

Kingdom Group is seeking a Retail Security Officer (Relief) for Tesco Tadcaster with relief cover across York and Leeds. The role requires SIA licensing, a flexible approach to working across locations, and a focus on customer service and asset protection.

You will patrol stores, deter theft, and respond to incidents while coordinating with store management and emergency services as needed. Travel between York and Leeds sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or SIA Security Licence (Essential).
• Retail security experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional and reliable approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence within store locations.
• Conduct regular patrols of the sales floor, stockrooms, and external areas.
• Help prevent theft, shoplifting, and anti-social behaviour.
• Monitor and respond to incidents in a calm and professional manner.
• Complete accurate incident reports and store documentation.
• Liaise with local management, staff, and emergency services when required.
