Job summary

Jewish Care is seeking a Relief/ Bank Registered General Nurse to support older people in our residential and nursing homes across the UK. You will provide safe, person-centred nursing care, monitor wellbeing, and administer medications with accuracy and compassion.

We offer training and development, a values-driven environment, and a rolling recruitment process to identify suitable candidates quickly. You must be NMC-registered (RGN/RMN) with at least 1 year’s experience.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
• Nursing degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• At least 1 year’s nursing experience in a care or clinical setting.
• Experience leading or supporting care teams.
• Experience administering medication and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate person-centred care.
• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Safely administer and manage medication in line with NMC and regulatory guidelines.
• Lead, support, and motivate care teams during shifts.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Promote safeguarding, dignity, and high-quality care standards.
• Support and develop colleagues through guidance, supervision, and training.
• Work collaboratively with families and external healthcare professionals.
