A Relief Farm Manager role in North Yorkshire is available with Agricultural Recruitment Specialists. The job provides management cover across multiple broiler farms, overseeing day-to-day operations, bird welfare and performance, and environmental controls.

It requires flexibility to travel between farms and strong leadership of farm teams. The package includes £32,000-£45,000 DOE, plus a performance bonus, accommodation, company pension and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent relevant to poultry roles.
• Experience in commercial broiler production and farm management.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Provide management cover across multiple broiler farms.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations when required.
• Monitor bird health, welfare and performance.
• Manage environmental controls (ventilation, heating, feeding, watering).
• Maintain biosecurity and hygiene standards.
• Record flock performance, mortality, feed usage and production data.
• Coordinate chick placements, thinning, catching and depopulation.
• Lead farm staff and conduct routine inspections.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, Red Tractor standards and Health & Safety.
