Job summary

Day Lewis Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Relief Pharmacy Assistant to support its pharmacy teams across North Yorkshire. The role offers variety, travel between sites and hands-on patient care.

You’ll help with dispensing, customer service and teamwork across a network of locations. The position requires NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services and dispensing experience, with a friendly, professional approach and the flexibility to travel between pharmacies in the designated area.

Relief Pharmacy Assistant – (North Yorkshire)

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week including Saturdays

Looking for a Pharmacy Assistant role with a little more variety?

At Day Lewis, our people make the difference. We're looking for an experienced Relief Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy teams across the North Yorkshire area, helping us continue to deliver great care to our patients and local communities.

As a Relief Pharmacy Assistant, no two days are quite the same. You'll have the opportunity to work across a number of our pharmacies, meet different teams and patients, and provide valuable support where it's needed most.

What you'll be doing

• Support the safe and efficient dispensing of prescriptions
• Provide a friendly and welcoming service to patients and customers
• Support colleagues across a number of pharmacies within your relief area
• Assist with the delivery of pharmacy services
• Help ensure the dispensary operates effectively and in line with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who has previous experience working within community pharmacy and enjoys the variety that comes with a relief role. You'll need:

• An NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification or equivalent
• Previous pharmacy and dispensing experience
• A passion for delivering excellent patient care
• A friendly, approachable and professional manner
• The flexibility and confidence to work across different pharmacy locations
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• To be organised, reliable and comfortable working in busy pharmacy environments

As this is a relief position, you'll also need to be able to travel between pharmacies within the designated area.
