A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a mature male living in the Ely area of Cardiff with my wife and two pets, a dog and a cat. I have a diagnosis of Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's, which puts me at a high risk of choking. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy familiar things and places. I am ex-Services and used to be in the Royal Navy, with whom I traveled extensively. My hobbies include going to the cinema, building models, and I have an interest in historic ships and aircraft, as I used to enjoy flying. Before my diagnosis, I enjoyed walking and was into fitness. I can easily get distracted due to my condition.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure I am safe at all times, especially when eating and drinking, due to my high risk of choking. To support me in safely accessing the community.

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

Cover is required for when my permanent PA takes annual leave or is sick. Up to 12 hours available for cover, as needed. Hours preferably between 10am to 6pm.

RATE OF PAY

Details to be discussed during the interview.
