Connect Appointments are recruiting an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Manager to join our food production client in Bathgate.

What's on offer? A full-time temporary to permanent role for the right candidate; with a competitive salary of £40,000 to £43,000 (depending on experience); working a 4 on-4 off night shift pattern of 7pm to 7am.

As Manufacturing Manager, you'll lead a night shift production team in a busy food manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for delivering key KPIs across safety, quality, service, and cost - while also acting as the site's senior contact during out-of-hours operations.

Key responsibilities as a Manufacturing Manager include:

  • Leading and developing the night shift team to meet operational goals
  • Managing hygiene, changeovers, and shift handovers
  • Driving a strong safety and continuous improvement culture
  • Controlling raw material usage and operational costs
  • Supporting audits, investigations, and performance reporting

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Previous food production management experience is essential
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, H&S, and cost control
  • IT skills, including Excel and MRP/ERP systems (SAP experience desirable)
  • Food manufacturing, BRC standards, or bakery production - desirable
  • Previous work in a 24/7 or 12-hour shift environment - desirable
