About the role

It’s an exciting time at Churchill Estates Management. Due to our growth, we are looking for a compassionate Relief Lodge Manager for our retirement developments across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset & Wiltshire.

You’ll cover the absences of permanent Lodge Managers on an “as and when” basis at Lodges within reasonable travelling distance for you. Managing both the maintenance of the property and providing a first-class service to Owners, you’ll be working at the heart of Churchill Estates Management, promoting a happy and fulfilling lifestyle for Owners.

Based at a central desk within the development, you’ll be a visible and reassuring presence, while administering the office, arranging contractors to maintain the building, and ensuring compliance with health and safety checks and standards.

From facilitating social events to supporting the sales team with customer viewings, you’ll play a key role in the business and liaise with a range of departments and external contacts.

About you

This role would suit someone based in the Wiltshire area, with the ability to travel east or west towards Hampshire and Somerset. You should be comfortable working as and when required (hours are not guaranteed). The position may not be suitable for those already committed to permanent work elsewhere.

It’s important that you understand our customers and have a desire to make a positive difference. With a focus on providing a happy and fulfilling lifestyle for the Owners, you’ll have an outgoing and friendly personality, with a love of people and socialising. You’ll know when to act with sensitivity and diplomacy but also have the efficiency and assertiveness to manage the safety of the Owners and the security of the developments. Despite high levels of social contact, you’ll also be comfortable working independently on your own initiative.

To support with organizing events and maintaining the site, you’ll be computer literate with previous experience using MS Office applications.

Previous experience in property management, social housing, retail, care work, customer service, or hospitality would be advantageous.
