Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a zero-hour Variable Relief Library Assistant for Westbury and Warminster Libraries. You will help customers with queries, locate books and information, and assist with IT in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Flexibility to cover all operating hours, including holiday and sickness leave, is essential. Training will be provided; a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths is required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
• Previous library experience is not essential; training provided.
• Flexibility to cover all operating hours as required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with queries and information needs.
• Help users locate books and information resources.
