McCarthy Stone is looking for a Relief House Manager to join the team to cover ad hoc shifts around Storrington and the West Sussex area of England.

Hours: Flexible hours to be agreed with the Operations Manager

Hourly rate: £13.37 per hour

Mileage: Will be paid.

About the Role of a Casual House Manager

We are seeking a customer-centric House Manager to exemplify the high-quality customer standards we are renowned for. A House Manager's role is diverse, encompassing front-of-house management, facilities, event coordination, and customer service.

Some of the duties include:

  • Helping Homeowners settle into their new homes.
  • Providing a professional front-of-house service and welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner.
  • Being available to all Homeowners to offer help, support, and advice as necessary.
  • Promoting good communication between Homeowners, their families, and our partners and suppliers.
  • Managing the development’s gardens and grounds efficiently to ensure a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
  • Dealing with emergency situations professionally.
  • Facilitating social interaction and helping Homeowners enjoy retirement living to the full.

The successful candidate will have the following key competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills with a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Extensive experience in a professional customer service role.
  • A professional approach with high standards.
  • Reliability and flexibility to handle out-of-hours calls and emergencies.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, varied role where every day is different.
  • Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Awareness of basic Health and Safety procedures is advantageous.
  • A good level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Previous or current first aid qualifications are a plus.
