About the opportunity

As a Relief Dispenser, you will work across different stores within a defined geographical area. You will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

Working within the healthcare department, you will build relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your duties include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients' health and wellness, making a difference every day.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Prescription dispensing, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  3. Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  4. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for safe and legal dispensing.
  5. Stay updated with new innovations and comply with operational processes.
  6. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  7. Communicate with store teams to ensure continuity of care.
  8. Work with evolving technologies to improve dispensing processes, enhancing patient safety and efficiency.

You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career development, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel across the defined geography with full flexibility.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
