Job summary

MHA is seeking a relief Cook based at Cedar Lodge, Wootton Wawen to prepare nutritious meals for activity attendees. You will run day-to-day kitchen operations, ensure meals are safe, portioned within budget, and accommodate dietary and cultural needs while supervising volunteers.

Qualifications

• Experience of preparing and cooking meals for large numbers.
• Ability to deliver high-quality meals within a set budget.
• Customer-focused communication and listening skills.
• Experience supervising volunteers (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals for clubs.
• Plan nutritious menus meeting dietary needs.
• Manage food ordering and stock control.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Supervise volunteers and staff in the kitchen.
