An established industry player is seeking a Relief Cook to provide essential meal services across Mainland Orkney and Outer Isles Schools. This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food, as well as supervising staff and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Ideal candidates will have relevant food hygiene and preparation qualifications, and must be able to travel effectively between locations. Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£14.94 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who can help to provide the meals service on a relief basis to cover for holiday and sickness absence.
Duties include:
Minimum Requirements:
You must hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent and a food preparation qualification - NVQ level 2, C+G 706/1 + 706/2.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
