Overview

First Military Recruitment is partnering with a community business to recruit a Relief Coach Driver & Administrative Support on a permanent basis due to growth.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Drive vehicles safely and responsibly.
  2. Follow health & safety policies, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a duty of care to yourself, passengers, and colleagues.
  3. Assist passengers in a caring and responsive manner.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of personal details.
  5. Keep vehicle interiors and exteriors clean and tidy.
  6. Record driver hours accurately using log cards or tachograph.
  7. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
  8. Promote a positive image of the business through behavior and appearance.

Qualifications and experience:

  1. Over 21 years old with a full, clean UK driving license for at least two years, with D1 or PCV entitlement, and no more than 9 penalty points.
  2. Experience in regular driving, preferably in a professional setting.
  3. Ability to drive larger vehicles safely and considerately.
  4. Skills in route planning and map reading.
  5. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  6. Good communication skills with passengers and colleagues.
  7. Physical ability for manual handling activities.
  8. Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative.
  9. Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing situations.
  10. Independent working skills.
  11. Calmness in difficult situations.
  12. Flexible approach to work.
  13. Patience and caring nature.
  14. Respectful and sensitive to all backgrounds, especially children and vulnerable adults.
  15. Willing to transport assistance dogs and restrained pets.
  16. Maintains good personal hygiene and tidiness.

Additional details:

Location: Central London and surrounding areas

Salary: £29,000

Working hours: Monday to Friday, with a mix of early, late, and weekend shifts, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
