Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a Cleaning Services operative to provide a high standard of cleaning across primary and comprehensive schools and office environments within Bridgend Borough. Full training will be provided and a flexible approach is valued.

The role requires Welsh-speaking capability to greet customers and a commitment to safeguarding. Health and Safety knowledge is expected, and safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility for all staff.

Job description

Corporate Cleaning Services provides a comprehensive cleaning service to several primary and comprehensive schools including office environments throughout Bridgend Borough. The purpose of the role is to undertake cleaning tasks providing a high standard of service.

Full training will be provided, and you will be expected to have some knowledge of Health and Safety. Excellent communication skills are required together with a flexible approach.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
