£17.58 per hour (inclusive of £1.48 Distant Islands Allowance per hour)
You will support the inclusion, attainment and achievement of vulnerable children and young people mainly in supported accommodation, but also in school, home and community settings through direct work with children and young people, their families, and other support staff, as part of an Integrated Children’s Services approach. This post is for relief cover on an as and when required basis.
You must be educated to HNC level in a relevant area (Education, Social Work, Psychology or Health) or equivalent vocational qualification or relevant work experience. You will have practical experience of working with young people who are particularly vulnerable in terms of social, emotional, behavioural, learning or family difficulties and the ability to work with and understand young people who may have complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
This post is on an as and when basis to cover absences of permanent staff. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
