Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Relief Chef Manager to support our business across the South M25 region and surrounding areas. You will have experience working in fast-paced kitchens at Head Chef or Chef Manager level within contract catering, ideally in Independent Schools or B&I sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover Head Chef | Chef Manager holidays and sickness
- Support mobilisations and troubleshooting at various locations
- Assist in covering vacancies
- Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, following company standards
- Create bespoke seasonal menus from regional and local suppliers
- Complete food costings and company paperwork
- Maintain food standards and control wastage
- Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and allergen procedures
Skills and Qualifications
- Genuine interest in food and excellent customer service skills
- Strong client relationship skills
- Leadership and teamwork abilities
- Creativity and passion for great food
- Organised with attention to detail
- Financial understanding
- Recognised cooking qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent)
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
- Proficiency in verbal and written English
- Experience in customer service or food preparation environment
