We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Relief Chef to join our culinary team in the south east, United Kingdom. As a Relief Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations across various locations, ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present food to the highest standards, adhering to our organisation\'s recipes and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety procedures
  • Collaborate with existing kitchen teams to support daily operations and maintain smooth service
  • Assist in managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans as needed
  • Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments, menus, and cooking styles
  • Support and supervise kitchen staff when required, fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining food quality and presentation standards
  • Respond flexibly to changing work locations and schedules as per organisational needs
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Chef in a similar role
  • Strong culinary skills and a flair for fresh, exciting food
  • Confidence in managing kitchen operations and food safety
  • A team-first attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Ideally a recent background with the corporate contract catering sector
  • Excellent creative culinary skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Proficiency in food cost management
  • Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
