Relief Catering Assistant - Various School Sites

Salary: Grade 2 | Hourly Rate: £12.65 - £12.85

It is vital that you demonstrate how you meet the 'essential' criteria listed in the attached Person Specification, in order to secure an interview.

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, and motivated person to join the Schools Catering Team on a relief basis. You will help to provide cover at various schools to maintain an enjoyable school dining experience.

As the successful candidate, you will assist in all areas of the kitchen to achieve the required standards including food preparation, serving appetising meals, cleaning down the kitchen and dining hall, and having some knowledge of Food Safety Regulations.

You will need good communication skills, show initiative, be an excellent team player, and maintain high standards of hygiene. You must have the ability and confidence to work and thrive in a busy environment.

You will need to:

  1. Observe and comply with Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures.
  2. Undertake any training considered necessary for the post at any location deemed suitable by the Catering Manager.
  3. Ensure the safe and correct use of all kitchen equipment.

You will be required to keep full and accurate entries and records in accordance with administrative procedures laid down by the Catering Department.
