White Hall Outdoor Education Centre is seeking a reliable and dedicated relief caretaker to join our facilities team. As a Grade 4 Relief Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our centre, ensuring a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and young people.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas within the Centre, including accommodation, and communal spaces.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to maintain the safety and functionality of the premises.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any stock shortages.
  • Support the setup and takedown of equipment for activities and events.
  • Assist with site security, including opening and locking buildings and monitoring access.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to support the smooth running of the centre.
  • Participate in evening and weekend duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in caretaking, cleaning, or facilities maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to carry out manual tasks and operate cleaning equipment.
