Job summary

Extension Recruitment is assisting a Northumberland employer seeking a Production / Packaging Operative to join its busy site. The role covers bottling, canning, packing and dispatch within a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.

You will work as part of the production team, handling manual duties, following food safety and health & safety procedures, and reporting issues to a supervisor. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with manual handling and standing for periods of time.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible.
• Willingness to follow processes, hygiene standards and health & safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Previous experience in production, packaging, warehousing or manufacturing would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting production, packaging and warehouse operations.
• Assisting with bottling, canning, labelling and packing products.
• Preparing finished goods for storage, dispatch and delivery.
• Loading and unloading stock safely.
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process.
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Reporting any equipment, stock or quality issues to the relevant supervisor.
